Hands-On Fun Doing REAL Science

These inexpensive science activities give students, parents and teachers the ability to do hands-on fun science.... INSTANTLY. Each activity kit contains most, if not all, of the "ingredients" needed to perform the activity and a worksheet that allows the student to follow the scientific-method while performing the experiment, along with theory and practical uses. Great for use by teachers in the classroom or by parents as an activity that they can share with their kids. Everyone will have some fun and learn about science. These kits are used by educational institutions, home schoolers and science museums to provide quick, simple, super-easy science lessons. POLYMERS - SLIMEIn this activity, you will investigate the properties of a polymer fondly known as "slime". When the two liquids in this kit are mixed, a remarkable change in their physical state takes place. Opaque and transparent in various colors, selected at random.

POLYMERS - THE BALL OF MYSTERYIn this activity, you will investigate the properties of a polymer that is initially in the form of a small hard ball. The ball will grow into a large crystal-clear sphere as it absorbs water.NOTE: This is a slow activity. Ball growth occurs over several hours.

CENTRIPETAL/CENTRIFUGAL FORCE - THE ANNOYING BALLOONIn this activity, you will use a balloon to force an object to follow a circular path and, at the same time, make a very annoying, yet fun, sound. You will learn about centripetal and centrifugal force. You will also OBSERVE what happens when a restraining force (the string) is suddenly removed from a swinging object.

THE VORTEX - TORNADO IN A BOTTLEIn this activity, you will investigate the properties of a water vortex. You will observe the creation of a vortex and what happens when air pressure (or a lack of air pressure) interferes with vortex formation. You will also observe the different fluid speeds that occur in a vortex.

ULTRAVIOLET LIGHTIn this activity, you will investigate the properties of ULTRA-VIOLET (UV) light. You will use the included detector to see where UV is strongest and where it is weakest. Is there UV under an umbrella? What happens to UV at different times of the day? Can you get a sunburn under water? Does sunscreen really work?
